Bristol & Avon Archaeology

Issued annually and free to members, Bristol & Avon Archaeology (BAA) is the journal of the Bristol & Avon Archaeological Society.

BAA features a selection of illustrated excavation reports and articles on local archaeology. Recent items have included:

  • Excavations at the Old Council House, Corn Street, Bristol 2005;
  • Jacob's Well, Bristol, Further Research;
  • Stapelton Prison Revisted;
  • Two Romano-British sites in South Gloucestershire - Excavations at Almondbury and Bradley Stoke;
  • Excavations at 10-22 Victoria Street, Bristol, 2008;
  • Moument and Event: The Plume of Feathers - Wine Street Sea Monster.

Each volume also includes a review of excavations throughout the former county of Avon for the past year.

Volume 23

BAA Volume 23 is now available direct from the Society.
