Business and Professional Women
BPW UK (Business and Professional Women UK Limited) is an organisation for working women. It is a non-party political lobbying organisation through which members have the chance to influence policy decisions at local, national and international level and receive the encouragement, training and information to apply for public appointments.BPW UK also provides social and business networking, training and personal development, friendship and support and the opportunity to be internationally involved by means of its affiliation to its European and International Federations. There is also a programme specifically aimed at the development and mentoring of members under 35 years.
Training and international study awards, a public speaking competition organised for senior schoolgirls and professionally based specialist network groups are some of the other benefits.
BPW Bristol (bpwbristol@bpwuk.org.uk) is the local network group and meets at Jurys Hotel twice a month. There is an active programme of speakers, seminars, discussion evenings, training workshops and social events. Visitors are welcome.
