Personal practice interests:

The functional use of shadows within art and design works.

The relationship between materiality and immateriality.

The body as a site of philosophical debate, (i.e. how we are in the world).

The relationship between spatial dimensions and the exploration higher dimensions as site for the development of new sculptural forms.

The relationship between different fields of knowledge, (e.g. art and science).

Research interests:

The impact of CAD/CAM technologies on art and craft practices.

The nature of craft practice and the relationship between theory and practice.

Practice led research and its associated methodologies.

Collaborations between artists/craftspeople and industry.

The integration of art/craft and architecture.

Summer 1999: International Symposium 'Artists and the Brick Industry', two week residency based in a brick factory near Wolverhampton. Run in association with 'Creating the Yellow Brick Road', an international conference exploring the links between art, architecture and industry.

Summer 1994: 100m Grass Maze sculpture, Project for Mid Lavant gravel pit redevelopment, next to Centurian Way near Chichester. Commissioned by Tarmac and Sustrans.
