Wednesday 16 January 2008 - Friends' Meeting house -7.30 pm - Illustrated talk
GORDON YOUNG, a long standing member of the Bristol Civic Society and a
creative award winning film maker, will show and talk about his film
CLARKSON. This film has as its subject Thomas Clarkson, who researched the
Slave Trade in Bristol. It has won awards and attracted considerable
attention locally having been shown at the Watershed and at the Records
Office.

KEITH HALLETT will speak about the SOUTH BRISTOL/AIRPORT EXPANSION PLANS.

Tour of the BRISTOL WATER PUMPING STATION AND VISITOR CENTRE in Blagdon.
Bristol Water is the regular sponsor for the Society's annual Awards
programme.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING. The speaker will be CAROLINE KAY of the Bath
Preservation Trust.

JAMES BRUGES, author of 'The Big Earth Book' ,will talk about CLIMATE SOLUTIONS.
