This is the 250th anniversary of the first ever performance of Messiah in an English church or cathedral, which took place in Bristol Cathedral on 17th August 1758.

There will be a pre-concert talk by Prof. Philip Wilby at 6.15pm in the Chapter House. The talk will be free but seats are limited to around 100 and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
