Cyclebag East is a cycle touring club based in East Bristol open to all levels of cyclists who enjoy getting on a bike and going for a ride. Please feel free to come on any of our rides and try us out. We put on a variety of rides from about 20 to 100 miles, usually in the 40 to 60 range. We normally meet on a Sunday and occasionally Saturday. In the summer we put on regular midweek evening rides to a not too distant pub. We organise a variety of touring holidays throughout the UK and sometimes abroad. Although we meet in East Bristol wherever you live you are welcome.

Cyclebag East started on the 7th November 1984 as the East Bristol ride section of Cyclebag. Cycle Bristol Action Group (Cyclebag) was the first cycle campaigning group in Bristol and one of its greatest successes was the Bristol to Bath cyclepath. Cyclebag East was set up to be a social group in east Bristol and to promote the use of the path. Cyclebag is no more having evolved into Sustrans, and other groups such as Bristol Cycling Campaign have taken over the campaigning torch. Cyclebag East has continued, however, as a local touring club.
