The Bristol group meet every 2 months at a member's home or local venue to fold new and favourite designs, chat and exchange news.

The meetings are very informal, and refreshments and paper for folding are provided. The BOS publishes an excellent bi-monthly magazine, and operate a postal library service whereby books and design instructions, amongst other things, can be borrowed.

A selection of books from the BOS library is also held at the local mini-meeting, and members can borrow books.

Most people who attend are members of the British Origami Society (BOS), but beginners or people who would like to learn more are more than welcome. There is also a national Convention twice a year, which the BOS organises. They often including specially invited paper-folders from abroad. See the BOS web-site for details: www.britishorigami.info

We also take part in public shows when these arise - this is a great opportunity to share our art with others. More photos are available on the Photo Gallery page.

Members of the group are also involved in:-

giving talks and demonstrations of origami to the public - adults, children, organisations, clubs, youth groups etc.

doing promotional events and advertising involving origami

having origami stalls and displays at public events, shows and charity events.

individual projects and commissions

making origami gifts and cards for special occasions
