Caron has suggested that the grown-ups meet for a seasonal meal on 12 January 2008 and there has been a positive initial response.

There will be no meeting on Friday 26 October as the hall will be used for a play.

Our AGM was held on Friday 12 October. Highlights were:

·	Most committee members were re-elected without opposition

·	Another good year in which attendance levels were good and our finances remained healthy.

·	Our members had been reasonably successful in regional competitions.

·	Lots of new kit was bought to comply with the latest BFA safety standards.

·	CRB checks may be necessary for volunteer coaches, so we’ll check with the BFA for clarification.

·	Annual membership fees are to be scrapped and subscriptions will be raised to Ł3.50 per week to compensate. Members wishing to pay monthly can do so for Ł11 per month with a reduction to Ł9 for others in the same family/household.

·	Joe was presented with the Wiltshire Cup. As one of our younger members he has displayed lots of enthusiasm and willingness to learn. Well done!

The Excalibur Team Epee Competition planned for 3rd/4th November has been cancelled.
