If you have a couple of hours to while away on a Saturday, why not
visit the real "Hippy " market at Las Dalias, San Carles where I would
recommend a visit to Yaron and discover his percussion and wind
chimes. The wind chimes are not the "tinny" type found in most shops,
but individually tuned tubes which are truly musical. Then enjoy the
atmosphere of the bar or restaurant - both good value.
Sorry - I forgot Bahia on the promenade of Sta.Eulalia (marina end)
under the ashtrays as we call the appartments. Excellent food and a
beautiful position with gorgeous views - what more could you want ?
Go to Page 9 for the links for photographs of all these places and lots
more that we love.

NEW RESTAURANT for 2001 - La Torre at Cala Vadella - excellent !!

My thanks to Michael and Sabine for bringing an anniversary present all
the way from Frankfurt to Ibiza - you are very kind.

My good friend Gonzalo has now opened his own bar in Playa d'en
Bossa called "Nevada" near Aguamar / Space - please call in and say
hello !!

Hi tony,
You lucky git, I wish I was going back. Play Bella, is situated Playa Bella,Carre Coruna,Sant Antoni. If you
look out for the 24 hour Spar shop, walk down the road toword the beach you have a doctors and chinese
on the righton the left you have Apartmentos Calas de Ibiza and a couple of shops. Playa Bella is on the
right. Ideally I would like a daytime shot from the beach and one of the stage area, preferably in day light,
but anything will do.If you fancy a laugh pop down there on a monday night and watch Silk Stockings, Give
my regards to Joe Cheers, Regards Andy.

Hi Tony,I'm Norman another one of the team here.Have you not been to La Casita near Cala Llonga It's
one of the best on the island. Try a complete meal of just their starters, different & good. At the moment the
best food on the island is at the Elefante, San Raphael, absolutely fabulous - tel first to make sure they're
open. Both of these located in our A La Carte page. The Wild Asparagus at Cala Llonga could also still be
open.Happy eating.

hi Tony,
well we're interested in peoples views about things happening on the island or their view of Ibiza. We can
put it in as a letter or a column.Over the months we've had a few people send stuff, some have been
holidaymakers praising or upset about some aspect (for example the 'looky looky' men) others have been
from people working here and commenting on it being a good or bad season and we even had 'our man
Bob' who was over for a month or two stopping in San Carlos and he wrote about different things
happening on that side of the island, a mixed bag really. The main thing about our paper - is that we want
people other than ourselves to be heard. We don't want to seem an exclusive club, talking about things that
people don't relate to. How about local characters you know? Yaron for example. Or perhaps your view
on how things have changed in Ibiza...is it better or worse? We try hard to stimulate debate in the paper.
Anyway - think about it. Its easy enough to e-mail us stuff. You obviously love the island and have
experience of it so I'm sure you'll have views.
As for the indian summer - I think its arrived!? Its now glorious after 2 months of unsettled weather.
Glad you got your windchimes! Jaki

Good morning Tony,
Yes it was me, I must have had a good holiday. I can only just remember how to switch this box of tricks
on. We both had a good time the holiday was far beyond both our expectations and we enjoyed the
company of
everybody we met.I have sent my rolls of film off for developing, we saw some beautiful scenery I just hope
my photo's will do it justice. Our favourite places were sa colletta and cala d'hart? Thanks for encouraging
me to hire a car it was well worth it.As you can see my computer is at work and not at home so I don't get
to visit to many websites, but I will make an excuse to visit yours and view your photographs.

Sorry I didn't get back to you to confirm it was going in this week - its just a bit mad from week-end until
Weds. evening (now) cos we're working on getting the weeks edition written, printed and distributed!
I'll send an actual paper back with my mum who goes back to the UK tomorrow and I'll then get her to post
it to you. I altered it just a small amount mainly so that it would fit into the paper (took a few words out - not
many) but the grammar etc was perfect. We put it after our regular writer of 'View from the Villa'. Jaki

Tony - Thanks so much for the quick response! My groups age ranges from 28-31. We plan on spending
our time on the beach and in the clubs. We would like to stay at a nice place and as close to the beach as
possible
(cost isn't a priority). I would prefer to stay someplace that caters to singles. I don't want to be in a place
that will be filled with families as I don't want to upset anyone when we are coming and going late at night
/early in the morning. Three people in our party are confirmed (my husband, brother-in-law and myself) and
three others "might" be coming..so I think a two bedroom suite would be best. How far is the drive from
Ibiza & San
Antonio? I hear taxi's are the best way to travel in Ibiza. As far as shopping goes, what are the best things
to buy (based on good prices). You listed some wonderful sounding restaurants on your posting and
website. I
have added them to a list of places I want to go while we are there. You have been most helpful with all of
your information. Thanks so much! Michelle

Hi My name is Ray, me and some friends are goin to madrid, barcelona and then ibiza, we are goin from
June 7th to june 17, 2001 we will spend 5 nights in ibiza in the hotel torre del mar in playa den bossa, i just
need to know how the clubs are gonna be, if its gonna be wild and wanted to see how the weather will be,
some people tell us its cold and some tell us its great and perfect to go to the beach, we will be on ibiza from
june 12 to 17th.
Thanks for your help Ray

Mon, 15 Jan 2001
Tony -You are such a find! Thanks so much for all of your advise. While I want to stay in a fun place, I am
quite sure a bunch of drunk high school kids would make my 29 years feel like 79. I have been reading the
web and it sounds like the place for us is Playa d'en Bossa. Again, thanks so much for taking time out of
your day tohelp me out. Have a great week! Michelle

Thu, 18 Jan 2001
At last someone who is talking about Santa Eulalia and not San Antonio! I'm going for 2 weeks in July and
have never been before. We chose that resort as we were told it was similar to Alcudia with its beaches and
the nightlife as my partner and I loved the bars and shops at night as we prefer bars to clubs (and I'm only
19 he's only 22!).Could you recommend anything to make a point of doing or bars to visit? Also do you
know anyone who has stayed at Hotel La Cala? Many thanks Vicki

Thu, 18 Jan 2001
Hi Tony this is Ray again, we are actually goin to ibiza now on may 30th till june 4th, i called club space they
said they open up june 2nd but i know the big clubs are not open. But i hope there is some nightlife there,
and we are worried about the weather, because now we are going 2 weeks earlier, and i appreciate all your
help, if you are goin to be in ibiza the same time as us we can meet up and have some drinks on me.Thanks
Ray

Tony,
How difficult do you think it would be for a 42 year old American, who uses a wheelchair to work and live
on Ibiza? I would like to live and work on the island during the May to Oct. season. Since you know
something about the island i thought i would ask for your opinion. Any suggestions let me know. Thanks,
Graham

Hi again Tony its John from the Queen Victoria in Santa Eulalia, thought i would give you some news on Es
cana, the "Do Drop Inn" just up from the Ereso hotel, it has changed hands and i know you will be pleased
to know that my son Matt is the new owner. Why would i be pleased? you might well ask.Well its because i
know you like watching sport so when the wife lets you out you might like to say hello to "Markie Mark"
previously of Mango´s bar on the way to S.Eul and now the manager of the "Do Drop" The sports coverage
will be upgraded to match that of the "Queen Vic"(unrivalled anywhere else on the island as you now know)
plus they will be showing all those rubbishy soaps that i expect your wife likes ie: Eastenders etc.At other
times relaxing
music will be the norm.Did you know the bar has its own swimming pool out back?Anyway Tony i must go
now, hope to meet you during the season, best wishes,John.

Hi,
Thanks for replying, we are going at the end of September, we don't like it too busy or noisy, but we like
walking into the resort centre if we want a bit of something going on - we are in our 40's with three children
16,14 and 8, my mum and dad come with us as well. We know that Es Cana & Santa Eulalia are close by,
but are they close enough to walk to in the evening? Thanks, Karen.

Sun, 11 Mar 2001
Tony,
Would you have any information on events in Santa Eulalia on the 2nd week in May? For Myself my
husband and my 3 year old daughter.Do you know of any zoo's or dolphin parks on the island?.
Thankyou for you help and advice. yours Grainne

Wed, 14 Mar 2001
Hello there, i picked up your address from an old Lonely Planet TT post regarding Ibiza. You seem to be
the man to talk to. Basically, my girlfriend and i are coming out to Ibiza at the beggining of May to work as
fire performers for the season. We have the work confirmed, the only problem we have is accomodation.
We're looking for something reasonable, preferably in a bit more chilled part of the island. Also i've thought
about looking into house or boat sitting, is this a possibility. Got any ideas mate, any help would be much
appreciated,
Cheers, Mark

Tony,
I like your website and the photos. We are going to Ibiza for our first ever in June and want to have a
wedding ceremony there. Do you know of any small, informal, and non-religious places on the island of
Ibiza that would perform this type of event? If you know of one by name that would be excellent, if you have
an email contact or phone number that would be even better. I hope I am not being to forward or intruding
by writing you. We are
really excited about this and would truly appreciate any advice or info you have. Cheers, Steve & Juliana

Sun, 22 Apr 2001
Hi Tony!
Have just come across your website and wondered if you could answer a question for us? We are going to
Ibiza
this summer - to stay in the Hotel Cala Nova Fiesta. We love to go on nusdist beaches and wondered if you
have been to any while you have been there? It mentions on the page that linked us to yours that Es Cavallet
is an official nudist beach - but is a popular meeting place for homosexuals - which kind of puts us off - do
you know any more about this beach - or any other places? Thanks in advance Dave & Natalie

Thu Apr 26
I found your website when looking for info on Ibiza. we are 2 young OAPs returning to the San Remo in
San Antonio Bay for the 3rd time in May. We have also stayed at the Panorama in Es can., we liked Los
Jarros bar there. I liked your site although not into football (my husband supports the Lincoln Imps. Sue

Wed Apr 25
I think your site is brilliant, we are going back to Playa den bossa in August and I am counting the weeks
until we can go. We are staying at the Club Bahamas which is a really nice hotel and I will send you a photo
when we get back. Cheers Fiona
