We believe in the power of prayer and invite your prayers for these causes.  You may also like to use the Daily Lectionary according to the Book of Common Prayer (our Events Diary notes the Church Calendar name for each Sunday)

bulletMonday 28th April: Pray for the work of “Second Step” – a Group who strive to provide good quality housing and support services to those with mental health needs, across Bristol, North Somerset, S.Glos and BANES.
 
bulletTuesday 29th April: A defiant Tehran has announced the installation of 6,000 new uranium centrifuges as part of a plan to develop peaceful nuclear energy.  Pray that this will be the case and that the technology will be used only for peaceful purposes.
 
bulletWednesday 30th April: Please pray for the 400 children who have been taken into State custody in Texas, following allegations of sexual abuse at a Mormon-led ranch.
 
bulletThursday 1st May: The people of Nepal have finished voting in the first General Election since 1999.  The new Assembly is expected to re-write the constitution and abolish the monarchy; pray that this will be a peaceful process.
 
bulletFriday 2nd May: Ask God to watch over all those who work at sea and guard them from storms, accidents and other dangers.  Pray for foreign seamen who have poor living conditions, are mistreated and suffer as victims of criminal activity on the high seas.
 
bulletSaturday 3rd May: Remember children and adults who feel they are different and not fully accepted by others around them.  Pray especially for those who have a disability or some other personal situation that sets them apart and ask God to reveal his love to them.
 
bulletSunday 4th May: God, whose beauty is beyond imagining and whose power we cannot comprehend, show us your glory as far as we can grasp it and shield us from knowing more than we can bear until we look upon you without fear, through Jesus Christ.
